Marsa Malaz Kempinski, The Pearl – Doha is delighted to highlight the celebration of the hotel’s 5th anniversary that has taken place the 7th January 2020 with a commemoration in Kempinski style emphasizing its European heritage mixed with the more traditional Arabian luxury.
To celebrate this red-letter day, the teams have crafted a ceremony which mirrors all the dedication and passion put into delivering a memorable experience for the guests.

In embracing the European heritage, a pianist and a violinist have accompanied the celebration, performing in the center of the Grand Lobby, delighting the guest upon their arrival. The talented musicians executed classic masterpieces throughout the evening, while the invited parties, including various Ambassadors, Excellencies, media and bloggers were welcomed by the higher management and warm staff, attentive and animated for the distinctive occasion.

The ceremony was embellished as well by the solemnly presence of Mr. Omar Hussain Alfardan, President and CEO of the Alfardan group, who stated: “Alfardan Group is proud to see the growth of The Palace, Marsa Malaz Kempinski, from its opening until now. Alfardan, not only as a business perspective, but as a family is honored to be able to call this very venue where we are located now, its home. This event is a celebration of growth and prosperity, and an augury for more upcoming flourishing years.”

During the course of such a prestigious soiree the guests were offered a taste from the various dining outlets, which for the occasion prepared delectable canapés, reflecting the identity of each restaurant. Spanish tastes from El Faro, International cuisine originating from Sawa and Levantine bites from Al Sufra were distributed.

To further emphasize the stunning course of these past years, a video, showcasing the time-lapse of the construction of the property and memories of the staff captured during highlights, was unveiled. The Cluster Hotel Manager, Holger Glaser, followed by saying: “It is with great honor that I stand before you during this special day, having the opportunity to thank every team member that made this journey possible, cherishing all memories and times spent together. Leading such a remarkable property to this enormous success is personally a humongous fulfilment and I wish to Marsa Malaz Kempinski many years more of successful operations and heart felt memories ahead.”
The ceremony was enriched by the reveling of the dome shaped cake, crafted by the award winning Executive Chef Julien Al Khal and his talented team. The details and the peculiar touches dedicated to such masterpiece surprised and amazed the crowd, other than delighting their palates.
